Energy storage technology in this paper refers to a technique in which electrical energy is stored directly on a physical medium and it can be converted into electrical energy when there is a demand.Commonly used physical media are chemical batteries,storage tanks,compressed air,hot melt materials,super capacitors,etc.Energy storage technology has developed rapidly in r ecent years.Enterprise builds energy storage project for achieving peak and valley electricity regulation.Energy storage technology has a very broad prospects because it can benefit from peak and valley electricity regulation to ensure the stability of power supply,to achieve demand response,consumption of clean energy and other uses and advantages.Governments all over the world promote energy storage project construction and technology research because of its broad prospects.China's energy storage technology has developed rapidly in recent years,government at all levels introduced a large number of support policies and projects landed to build.This paper introduces the concept and application of energy storage.First we focused on the status of the theory of energy storage technology at home and abroad,followed by how the energy storage to participate in the demand response and the current mainstream energy storage technology,analysising the performance of advanced lead-carbon battery.This paper focused on the design of the storage power station in Suzhou area,and studied the design,construction and application of the storage power station.Discussion on the applicability of Lead Carbon Battery as energy storage system for energy storage system by comparative advantage of Lead Carbon Battery and other energy storage technology.This paper discussed the design of battery management system,communication system and monitoring system of energy storage system by focusing on the design and construction of small-sized energy storage power station based on peak-valley electricity price in Suzhou area.We calculated the economic benefits of peak-valley energy storage power stations based on demand response and discussed the microgrid compos ition scheme based on energy storage technology.
