At present,the international greenhouse gas emissions and emission reduction task is more and more attention.China's economy has maintained a rapid pace of progress,the demand for various types of energy,especially fossil energy continues to increase.And China is still in the stage of rapid economic development,rapid industrialization will inevitably lead to a rapid increase in energy consumption demand,and thus accelerate the greenhouse gas emissions.Electric power as a pillar industry of our country,the major greenhouse gas emissions,should assume the responsibility of emission reduction.In order to realize the low carbon development of electric power system,considering the increasing depletion of fossil energy,the proportion of renewable energy in power system is gradually increasing,but it has the characteristics of intermittent,unstable and so on.Therefore,China's electric power system must optimize the traditional power generation mode,through the combination of energy storage technology and power system,to reduce the power system of greenhouse gas emissions,to achieve the goal of China's low carbon development.In this paper,carefully study the principle and operation characteristics of energy storage technology,and compared the various energy storage technology to select the appropriate analysis object.To understand the whole life cycle analysis method,to analyze the influence factors of the carbon emission of pumped storage power station from the perspective of the whole life cycle.The evaluation index system of low carbon development of pumped storage power station is established,and the weight coefficient of each index is calculated by the analytic hierarchy process.The operation principle and function of pumped storage power station are deeply analyzed,and the change of operation load curve of power system after the introduction of the energy storage of pumped storage power station is analyzed.A combination of pumped storage of greenhouse gas emissions calculation formula for each stage of power system,calculation formula of greenhouse gases compared to the initial power system,get pumped storage available for peak shaving after environmental benefits.The results show that from the four aspects of the technical performance,economic benefits,environmental benefits and safety performance of building pumped storage evaluation index of low carbon development comprehensive benefits of power plants,including the formation of three level index system of 11 indicators.According to the analytic hierarchy process,the contribution of environmental benefit is the largest.This paper compared the energy storage technology before and after the operation of the power system load curve,the introduction of pumped storage can solve the waste problem of low power electric power plant can,can also play a peak quickly provide the advantages of electrical energy.The calculation shows that the pumped storage power station on the emission reduction effect of general environmental benefits,work for a long time or better,and can effectively utilize the abandoned power,increase renewable energy consumptive capacity.In addition,the new model can enhance the energy storage system and the interaction between power supply,power grid and load by means of the coordinated development of the green power subscription and the " load network source".The development and utilization of renewable energy,energy storage technology and the development of the power system to provide a new solution for the development of low carbon.
