The Application Of FIDIC Under The Belt And Road Initiative

The Belt and Road Initiative focus on the theme of peace,development,cooperation and mutual benefit,and jointly built through consultation to meet the interests of all,and efforts should be made to integrate the development strategies of the countries along the Belt and Road.Facility connectivity is one of the most important cooperative priorities,which bring great opportunities for Chinese engineering companies on infrastructure area.In order to apply the Belt and Road Policy,Chinese Engineering companies shall meet the international requirement of management,construction and standards,especially negotiation and management of contract.FIDIC is a format of contract on international engineering projects.Accordingly,to avoid the risks of international projects by using FIDIC is one of the important issues for Chinese Engineering Companies.Firstly,in this case,this thesis introduces the facility connectivity of the Belt and Road,and the relationship between FIDIC Conditions and Overseas projects.Also,it introduces the parties of the projects and FIDIC conditions,analysis the risk elements of the parties.Secondly,it research the practice of FIDIC conditions of overseas projects under the Belt and Road Policy,and conclude the benefit situation of the overseas projects,and the affection from the Policy to the Practice of FIDIC Conditions.Finally,combine the case study of Chinalco Vietnam Alumina Project and Chinaco Venezuela Project,and the project situation to introduce the practice condition of FIDIC conditions of overseas project under the Belt and Road Policy.
