The Interaction Design Research Of E-learning Platform Based On User Mental Model

With the high-speed development of Internet technology and the highly popularity of the smart terminal equipment in this information age, changes brought about by the network have already came to every aspects of our daily life. And the education industry also accelerates its networked transformation in such a wave. Because of its rich learning content and diverse learning styles, E-learning has attracted more and more customers. And then, how to solve the user’s learning needs,meet the emotional demands of the users and build an E-learning method adapted to the lifestyle of people in the information age will be the centerpiece.This research aims to explore the interaction design ideas and methods based on user mental model. Make the user requirements of E-learning can be exhibited exactly and find out the user potential demands. Build an E-learning method matching with them. Improve the usability and the user satisfaction of E-learning Platform.This paper puts forward a methodology that regarding value as the clue to do the user research and the interaction design and thus to make the represented models matched with the user mental models and to improve the availability of products. By analyzing from three aspects: user’s mental model theory from the perspective of interaction design, the present situation and development opportunity of E-learning platform and the usability. The paper makes the user mental model can be used in interaction design and proposes the key elements of the interaction design about E-learning platform by explaining the method of building the mental model and making the correspondence between user experience and mental model clearly. The paper established the method and process about the interaction design research of E-Learning platform based on user mental model. On the basic of the theory study, the author practiced and validated the design method by the interaction design project of an E-learning platform named eleven.The interaction design research of E-Learning platform based on user mental model enriched the research methods of user research of interaction design, provided a new theoretical reference for the interaction design in the field of E-learning and also offered a new method of constructing new learning style in this information age.
