Breaker is an important switching element of the power system.Its important role is to cut off the load current and short circuit current.The traditional circuit breaker in the application process arc and need to be equipped with professional arc extinguishing device.It disadvantages is slower speed and shorter life.With the deepening of power electronics research,power electronic devices are widely used.Power electronic devices have lots of advantages,such as no arc,fast switching and long life.So the idea of using power electronic devices to replace circuit breaker came into being.Power transformers are an important part of the power distribution system,and its safety is related to the safety of the whole system.In the daily operation of power transformers,there will be a variety of different failures and abnormal operation.In my paper,using DSP as a control means to realize transformer protection.DSP protection has lots of advantages compared with traditional protection.For example,easy debugging and high reliability,more flexible,easy to obtain additional features and you can get better protection effect.Firstly,this paper introduces the research background and its development,Secondly,it analyzes the working characteristics of the mechanical circuit breaker,and takes the traditional transformer protection as the research object.It uses the full control type power electronic device IGBT to replace the mechanical circuit breaker protection.This paper focuses on the design of DSP chip,low-pass filter design,switch interface design,export circuit design,communication interface design and other hardware design.Software design use modular design ideas to keep the software control of functional modules independent.And it has a relatively independent interface,easy to expand the future function.DSP protection through the sampling,identification,communication and operation to achieve the power transformer electric current protection.It elaborates the advantages of power electronic devices in the protection of applications.
