In recent years, with the rapid development of science and technology and automotive industry, connected vehicles came into being. Connected vehicle is a combination of networking car and smart cars, with the characteristics of networking and intelligent, is a new type of vehicles. However, connected vehicle is still in the stage of rapid development in China, how efficient distribution of various types of connected vehicle data is still a technical difficulty. At present, most domestic enterprises use Wi-Fi, WAVE / 802.11p, 4G / LTE and other technologies, a single communication model can not effectively solve the problem of data distribution. In view of this, this paper aims to realize the information distribution system of the connected vehicles, which mainly researches the application of IPv6 and geographic location information to the connected vehicles, and realizes the information exchange between the vehicle and X (person, vehicle, road and server).Firstly, based on the analysis of existing information distribution technology and actual demand, this paper puts forward the overall architecture of the connected vehicles information distribution system, which consists of Application Unit (AU), On Board Unit (OBU), Road Side Unit (RSU) and RS (Remote Server). Then, the OBU and RSU are designed, and the network protocol stack of IEEE 802.11p and IPv6 GeoNetworking is proposed. In the OBU, the traditional routing algorithm is improved and a new routing algorithm is proposed to solve the vehicle data transmission. The network address translation (NAT)function is implemented on the RSU so that the vehicle network and the Internet interoperability become possible. Then, a data distribution algorithm is designed on the RS, which makes the vehicle and road data can be effectively distributed through the Internet. Finally, display vehicle data with AU's application software. Thereby initially realize the information distribution system. Then, this paper also introduces the configuration and deployment of the information distribution system in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and puts forward three typical application scenarios:campus traffic flow regulation, anti-collision warning and emergency braking. Finally, this paper evaluates the performance of the information distribution system from four aspects, focusing on evaluating the performance and efficiency of the improved routing algorithm, and comparing the other routing algorithms, the connected vehicle information distribution system with low latency and high reliable, high distribution efficiency. Equipped with this system of vehicles and roads can share traffic information, to achieve V2X communication, to ensure travel safety and to improve travel efficiency.
