Compactness Study Of Chongqing's Central Type Subway Station

At present, the rail transit construction in metropolis of our country has stepped into the high-speed developing period, while there are many problems in the space environment,traffic and use, etc. of the areas of rail transit terminals. As a beneficial measure broadly used in the evaluation of efficiency of infrastructures, compactedness is significantly affected by the aspects including urban land-use and construction of urban public transportation system,etc. Whether it is fast, convenient and effective for the users to reach the urban railway stations is the important guarantee for the living quality and level of the citizens in this district. Thus, the research on the compactedness of areas of central railway stations in Chongqing is imperative.The purpose and meaning of this research was first put forward in this thesis under the research background, the object and scope of study was confirmed, and the research thought and frame of put forward problems--- analyze the problems---solve the problems was constructed. Then through collecting the research status of compactedness of areas of railway stations home and abroad, in-depth researches have been made on the theory of compactedness and other relative theories, and thus providing theoretical basic supports for the researches in this thesis.Secondly investigations and researches have been made on 3 aspects respectively, the degree of aggregation (the factor of land utilization) that reflects the compactedness, the accessibility (factor of transportation system) and characters of resident activities with the compactedness of areas of central railway stations of Chongqing as the object of research,with the central district range in which the radius is 500m and the central point is the center of the railway stations and with the secondary area of influence with the radius of 1000m,and conducted analysis and summary on them. Spatiography methods were adopted for the central railway station areas, then quantitative analysis was conducted with the Arcgis technology,and the compactedness was measured with the quantitative index. Summaries have been made for the factors that affected the compactedness of them.At last,based on the summary and conclusion on the factors that affected the compactedness of the central railway station areas of Chongqing,4 optimization measures were put forward in this thesis with the purpose of improving the compactedness, the contents covered the 3 aspects related in the research and investigation, namely the degree of aggregation, the accessibility and characters of resident activities. The author hoped to promote the compactedness of the station areas through the results of the researches, and hoped to provide guidance for the development of compactedness of central railway station areas in Chongqing.
