This article expounded transfer system research situation of domestic and foreign,and the engineering problems such as material crushing,impact and wear which occurred during the transfer process.Introduced "Discrete Element Method(DEM)" used in transfer system's research process.Transfer process of discrete element model is established with the Discrete Element Method,transfer process simulation and analysis was carried with EDEM software,visualization of Transfer process is realized.According to the engineering examples,build up bonded particle and transfer system geometric model.The bonding parameters of the particles are obtained by combining the physical test and the EDEM simulation.The DEM simulation of the transfer system is carried out by using normal particles and bonded particles as labeled particles.Aiming at the material breakage problem,bulk broken evaluation index is put forward.Then the paper carried the comparing simulation by improving the belt speed and discharge height and calculated the broken rate,it is concluded that the broken rate is improving with the higher belt speed and high the discharge height,which is corresponded with the actual situation.It is generally believed that the bulk should be damaged as less as possible in the process of transfer.So bulk crushing evaluation index plays an important role in the design of transfer system structure.EDEM-FEM simulation of the transfer system is carried out,based on the pre-processing of the mesh division of the head hopper and the chute with the HyperMesh software,The finite element analysis of the head funnel and the slide tube is carried out by Patran software with the force extracting in the EDEM,which obtains the stress strain and deformation of the hopper and chute.In view of the discovered funnel lateral deformation problems,Then the paper carried the comparing simulation by improving the belt speed,it is concluded that The bulk has a lateral impact on the head funnel when the belt speed is low,otherwise,The bulk is mainly the impact of the normal to the head funnel.Based on the simplified the thought that linear relationships between the wear depth and time linear in the transfer system,The wear coefficient of the EDEM software was calibrated by applying the dichotomy principle,The wear predictability of lining board of the transfer system is realized.Through the mesh of HyperMesh pre-treatment technology,the contact energy and wear depth of the funnel and the tube liner are extracted according to the mesh unit,the paper obtains the wear curve of lining board cavity and discusses the relationship between the wear depth and contact energy.
