Steering system is an important part that affects the performance of truck crane chassis.Tires often appear abnormal wear phenomenon in steering process because that pure rolling has not been achieved. This paper analysis the double-front axle steering mechanism,establishes the analysis and synthesis model of RSSR and planar four bar linkage mechanism,complete the design of double-front axle steering mechanism, and solves the problem of abnormal wear.This paper systematically analysis the double-front axle steering mechanism of truck crane. According to the analysis results, the structure is divided into two RSSR mechanisms and a planar four bar linkage mechanism. Two RSSR mechanisms are single rocker steering mechanism. Planar four link mechanism is double rocker mechanism.Based on the Ackerman principle, the function relationship between the first axle wheel angle alpha and the second axle wheel rotation angle is found in this paper; The mathematical model of RSSR mechanism is established by using projection method, which is used to solve the parameters of single rocker arm steering mechanism; The trajectory equation of the driven rod is used as a mathematical model, which is used to solve the plane four link mechanism.Based on the mathematical model of RSSR mechanism, this paper firstly analyzes the single rocker arm steering mechanism, and obtains the RSSR layout rules?Based on the RSSR layout rules and the requirements of the actual layout, the adjustable parameters and the range of parameters of the single rocker arm steering mechanism are determined. This paper uses the dichotomy to select the parameter data, and analysis the data, finally gets the parameters to meet the requirement of the steering performance.Based on the theory of Ackerman, obtains discrete datai?,i? of the double-front axle wheel angle, and puts the data into the RSSR mechanism model so that the paper Solves the discrete datai? of the swing angle of the driving rod and discrete datai? of swing ang-le of follower lever, next putsi?,i? into the mathematic model of the planar four bar linkage mechanism, and obtains the parameter approximation of the planar four bar Linkage Mechanism.Finally, by using ADAMS virtual prototype simulation technology, the paper tests display rules of single axle steering mechanism. Firstly types the parameters achieved into the simulation model, therefore obtains angular function curve of double-front axle truck crane's wheels. In the follow, compares new curve obtained with the theoretical function curve. The research results prove that display rules of single axle steering mechanism is correct, and the parameters obtained by calculating are correct, and the accuracy has met the design requirement.
