Spiral bevel gears with gear overlap coefficient,strong carrying capacity,steady transmission,low noise,large transmission ratio in design of mechanical being widely used in power transmission applications.Spiral bevel gear's tooth surface is a complex surface,often during the cutting process to repeatedly adjust the machine and try to cut the workpiece,test gear's contact to verify the processing of gear that meets the processing requirements,ultimately determines the correct process parameters adjustment,so the process can reduce productivity and increase the cost of production.With the rapid development of computer technology,using digital manufacturing instead of real test cutting process,determine the final adjustment parameters of spiral bevel gears processing,so the problem that exist in the traditional processing of spiral bevel gears can be solved efficiently.This paper is aiming at small wheel of spiral bevel gear to build spiral bevel gear digital solid model using the method of generating manufacturing.Can accurate expression spiral cone gear tooth surface of digital model is the basis of spiral bevel gear virtual manufacturing,through in-depth research spiral bevel gear processing principle of generating method,through on cone surface discrete of gear blank and layer round discrete of inside and outside cutting surface of tool.established generating method cutting mathematics model of spiral bevel gear,then after on the equation for solution,and the processing of tooth surface discrete points,and last formed spiral cone gear digital model through triangle surface tablets method connection these discrete points.Results and innovation of this research are as follows:1.Studying processing principle of spiral bevel gear's generating method,determine the spiral bevel gear blank parameters,the tool parameters,gear cutting machine control parameters to lay the Foundation for the building of intersection equation of surface points.2.Studying the relationship among Spiral bevel gear machine coordinate system,the tool coordinate system,the gear blank coordinate system and the principles of geometric transformation for computer graphics.Machine coordinate system as the absolute coordinate system is established,with tools and gear blank coordinate system as the local coordinate system of the coordinate system,according to the processing parameters,define the coordinate transformation algorithm.3."The discrete iterative algorithm of tool cutting surface" is proposed on the basis of cone surface discrete of gear blank and building intersection equation according to the principle of the layer round most far away from tool top surface is the last cutting round to cutting gear surface and the processing principle of spiral bevel gear generating method,obtained tooth surface of discrete data points through analytical calculation,through algorithm to realize the filter of effective data points,the solution of cutting regional border points,the number equal of tooth surface the layer tooth line data points.4.There is an example to built the solid model of cutter and gear blank,created in Delphi programming environment an interface can input the parameters of tool,gear blank,machine adjustment.get surface points according to the algorithm,using visual scenes built by GLscene and triangle surface tablets method form visualization of three-dimensional model belong to cutter and gear blank,and three dimensional model of spiral bevel gear.5.Determine control parameters for different cutting point in the processing of generating manufacturing,simulate the processing of generating method using three-dimensional drawing software CATIA,compare the data from taking measurement of tooth surface formed by CATIA simulation model and caculate to test the accuracy of data points.Virtual machining of spiral bevel gear's generating digital manufacturing is built in environment of Delphi+Glscene for the digital model visualization,not dependent on any three dimensional drawing software,with independence.The data points for gear tooth surface Calculated by virtual manufacturing laid the foundation for gear tooth contact analysis,error analysis,gear tooth surface strength analysis.
