Since the reform and opening up for more than 30 years,the economic and social development of our country has achieved unprecedented great achievements,and provides a foundation and abundant material wealth for cultural heritage development and heritage protection,and the enthusiasm of the protection of cultural heritage is increasing.Therefore,the protection of cultural heritage has risen to the height of the level of urban historical and cultural level.With the increasing number of cultural heritage protection projects,many characteristics of heritage protection and utilization projects,innovative architectural design,complex structure construction,the contradiction between the protection of construction projects and cultural relics is constantly emerging in time and space,and puts forward new and higher challenges to construction technology and management level.The management level of cultural heritage protection project has become the key factor of the effectiveness of cultural heritage protection project,the performance of cultural heritage project management is related to the effect and success of national investment,the exploration and research of cultural heritage protection project management is an indispensable branch.Research findings:1.the implementation of the protection and utilization project of Dunhuang Mogao grottoes is an exploration of the protection and utilization of cultural heritage,which plays a exemplary role for the protection of Gansu province and other sites,and has accumulated certain project management experience for the protection and utilization of cultural heritage in the future2.the implementation of the project of cultural heritage protection has great uncertainty.The protection objects,protection contents and ways of protection are different between different cultural heritage sites.the protection method is less generality and has a strong uniqueness3.the protection of cultural heritage site requires the cooperation of interdisciplinary and multi-sectoral,and needs to integrate resources,and have the development trend of large-scale and grouping.Similar to other areas of national economy,the protection of cultural heritage site is an important content of construction project,because the national research on cultural heritage and heritage protection and utilization project is relatively late,the existing research is limited,based on the current situation and author's work experience,this paper introduces the project management theory combined with the actual project management.
