Tire appearance quality is the most intuitive evaluation indicators of tire quality and its assessment is an important part of tire quality test.Now tire appearance quality online detection is still conducted by manpower at home and abroad,which has many disadvantages,such as low working efficiency,human factors influence,high labor intensity and so on.In recent decades,machine vision detection technology has been popularized and applied in many defect detection field,which provides a technical basis for the research and development of tire defect detection device.In this paper,the design and analysis of automatic tire inspection device is introduced as followes:(1)Based on the summary and analysis of characteristics and distribution of tire appearance quality defects,the methods of dividing tire appearance quality defects according to defect regions and types are put forward.(2)According to the manual tire appearance quality detection process,the overall design scheme of automatic tire appearance quality detection system based on machine vision technology is planned from the system structure,detection method.It is determined that the system is mainly composed of mechanical unit,control unit,image acquisition and image processing unit.The method of multi-camera automatic detection and tire automatic rotation is applied to collect the image information of the inner and outer tire surface.(3)The logic relationship,structure and driving mode of each action mechanism are analyzed,and a tire appearance detection device is designed according to the tire appearance detection movement requirements such as tire bead clamping,tire bead rim expansion.(4)The inner diameter mathematical model of the clamped tire and the contact(between sleeve or rotating sleeve and tire bead)force formula under a critical condition are linked to spatial layout and swing angle of the rotating arm.By MATLAB,in the case where the geometrical relationship of the tire bead calmping mechanism and the tire weight are determined,the magnitude of the critical normal forcenF and the circumferential forcetF on the contact does not vary with the rotation angle of the rotating arm.(5)The static analysis of drive shaft assembly and the model analysis of frame structure are made to determine the structure rationality by the Mechanical module of the finite element analysis software ANSYS Workbench.(6)The selection scheme of internal and external surface image acquisition elements is proposed,and the layout and adjustment method of the detection elements are briefly described.The calculation of image acquisition by cameras and twodimensional laser sensors on the corresponding area is given.
