High-pressure water jet technology is developing rapidly in recent years,and it has broad application prospects in cutting,cleaning,surface treatment and other fields.The high-pressure cylinder is the source of the high pressure jet in the water jet system and is one of the most important components of the water jet system.The pressure level and the maintenance cycle are mainly affected by the performance of the high pressure reciprocating seal in the cylinder.Therefore,it is necessary to study the sealability of the high pressure reciprocating seal structure and the service life of the seal in the high-pressure cylinder.In this paper,the high pressure reciprocating sealing structure is taken as the research object,and its structural deformation and sealing contact pressure are calculated and simulated numerically.The seals of different shapes and sizes is simulated and the wear and fatigue failure of the seals are analyzed.Firstly,an improved structure is proposed for the shortcomings of the existing sealing structure.The finite element model is established and the boundary condition is established according to the working condition of the seal.The feasibility is verified by structural simulation.Secondly,the seals with different wear degree were simulated,to determine the conditions of seal wear failure,simulations with different seal lip thickness and O-ring compression rate was made,and the impact of analysis of structural parameters on the wear life of the seals is obtained by analyzing the simulation results.Finally,the fatigue of different seals is simulated,the failure position and fatigue life of different seals are obtained.The fatigue life of the seals with different materials under different pressure loads is simulated,and the fatigue life of the seals is obtained.The wear life of the seal under different pressure loads is compared with the fatigue life,then the decisive factor that lead to the failure of the seal under different pressures are obtained.
