The modern tram is a new type of urban rail transit system,after a long period of more than a century,technological innovation and innovation.Based on the different methods of modern tram and other urban public transport,this paper discusses the principles and methods of modern tram system network planning,so that it can adapt to the rapid development of social travel demand.First,this paper expounds the development process,characteristics and Right of Way form and organizational model of modern tram,analyzes the difference between modern tram and other urban public transport,determines the factors influencing the function positioning of modern tram in China,and analyzes the traffic demand of modern tram.Secondly,the modern tram under the influence of urban form,road network layout,land use and other factors,its network scale has distinctive form characteristics,to consider all the factors of modern tram network scale,using a variety of methods to analyze the rationality of modern tram network scale.At the same time,the analysis of different evaluation methods of various tram network scale,to find the multi-attribute decision-making analytic hierarchy process is the most suitable method for the evaluation of modern tram network.The evaluation index of modern tram network is composed of service capacity / level,coordinated urban development,operational effect and social comprehensive benefit,and determines the index and weight of each subsystem based on multi-attribute decision level analysis and comprehensive expert opinions.Finally,through the analysis of the urban rail transit network planning of small and medium-sized cities Qinhuangdao,the use of strength shows the effectiveness of the methods and strategies of modern tram network planning.
