The Network Planning Of Tram Line In Small And Medium-sized Cities

Modern tram is a novel mode of urban rail transit, going through several times of reform and innovation. In this paper, based on modern tram and other cities, the way of bus line is suitable for modern tram system’s characteristic of network planning method and the main point.First of all, this article expounds the development course of modern trams, characteristics, form and operating way. It analyzed the modern tram differences with other urban public transportations. It came to determine modern tram city function orientation in the constraint conditions in our country, and worked out the function orientation of the small and medium-sized cities in our country. It improved the traditional "Four-step Method", and regarded it as the modern tram traffic forecast method.Under the influence of land use, road network layout, urban form, Modern tram line network formed some modalities with distinct characteristics. Fully considering various factors associated with modern tram line network scale, using various methods to analyze the modern the tram line network scale.Secondly, it analyzed the various tram line network evaluation method, and it is concluded that hierarchical analysis method of multiple attribute decision making is best method of evaluating modern tram line network. The evaluation index of modern tram line network is composed of passenger service, coordination of urban development, operation effect, cost and benefit. According to the results of multiple attribute decision analytic hierarchy process and experts’advice, it determined the indexes and weights of each subsystem.Finally, through the planning of tram line network in Tieling- the middle and small cities, modern tramcar network’s layout method and strategy was summarized.
