As the milk consumption continues to rise,rapid detection of milk quality has become an important subject in the field of food safety.The content of protein and fat in milk are two core indexes to evaluate the quality of the milk.Traditional testing methods of the quality of milk are complicated and time-consuming,which cannot meet the requirements of the real-time on-line analysis in the process of production.Due to its low cost,rapid speed,simple operation,environmentally friendly and green,near-infrared light detection technology has broad application prospects in the fields of chemical,agriculture,medicine,clinical,food testing and other fields.In this paper,a portable milk component content detector,which can perform the rapid detection of milk protein and fat content in the milk,was developed using monochromatic near-infrared transmission method supported by 2014 national science and technology found for Cow Breeding Facilities Intelligent Key Technology And Equipment.First of all,the propagation characteristics of infrared light in the medium and the structure and composition of milk were analyzed in this paper.Further more,1518 nm and 1693 nm were determined for the monochromatic near-infrared wavelengths for the detection of protein and fat in by comparing the infrared absorption spectra of protein and fat in milk.According to the beer-lambert law,the mathematical model has been set up for detecting protein and fat content in milk,the coefficients of mathematical model formula were calculated using the method of least squares curve fitting and testing a variety of known concentration of protein and fat content in milk.Second,a portable milk component content detector was developed,which includes a hardware system and a software system.The hardware system using STC15F2K60S2 as CPU consists of optical system,circuit system and mechanical system.The software system developed with C language could fulfill the basic functions of cleaning,sampling,heating,testing,recording and displaying working together with the hardware system.Finally,a variety of samples were tested with the milk composition content detector.According to experimental data,the precision of the instrument is less than 0.3%,the measuring resolution less than 0.1%,and a single sample testing time less than 5 minutes,which satisfy the requirements of the milk component content detection.
