Research And Development Of Expert System In 500kV Substation For Abnormality And Failure Diagnosis

With the development of power market in China,power failure will take seriously effect on both power suppliers and consumers.Therefore,it is very important to ensure the power system safe,reliable and economic operation.And it is also an urgent and significant task for electric power system.As the key position in transmission,500 kV substation take a very important role in the power system.The abnormality and failure diagnosis in the 500 kV substation is a good approach to keep the power system safe and reliable.This thesis focus on the research of abnormality and failure diagnosis in 500 kV substations.The main contributions include as followings.(1)The 500 kV substation abnormal and accident diagnosis method based on expert system is presented.The schedules of the fault disposal and diagnosis have been investigated in details.According to information of the relay and the switch positon,forward reasoning has been applied in the designation of the diagnosis rules in the expert system.The fault diagnosis methods are given for the transformer faults,bus faults and line faults based on expert system.(2)The fault tree diagnosis knowledge base and logic library in the abnormality and failure diagnosis expert system have been established according the real operation in the Guoan 500 kV substation.The forward reasoning for the transformer faults,bus faults and line faults has been designed based on the rules.These are the base of the research and development of the abnormality and failure diagnosis expert system in the substation.(3)The abnormality and failure diagnosis expert system has been developed.The expert system was applied in the Guoan substation in Zhuhai grid.By giving the real fault situation,including simple and complex situations,expert system has been testified.The expert system can judge the abnormality and failure in the substation quickly and correctly,which can satisfied the demand in the engineering applications.The abnormality and failure diagnosis approach presented here and the diagnosis expert system developed in 500 kV substations can diagnosis the abnormality and failure correctly.It is an effective way to improve the operation of the Guoan substation.
