The Vehicle Access Management System Based On Video Image Processing Technology

As an important part of intelligent residence, vehicle access management system makes secure and efficient management for vehicle access by taking advantage of advanced science and technology and supermatic equipment. For a growing number of private cars, people attach greater importance to vehicle management. vehicle access management system has become a priority for all current pattern recognition field. The algorithm of license plate location, character segmentation as well as character recognition is the key technology of the system.This paper mainly study the commonly related algorithms in the process of license plate recognition. And we achieve a vehicle access management system on the base of video image processing technology.The major research contains two parts:1. Firstly, we make research analysis on license plate location, character segmentation and character recognition which are commonly used in license plate recognition respectively. To solve the problem of slow convergence rate and inaccuracy of traditional BP neural network algorithm, a improved BP neural network algorithm has been put forward. Based on the global search ability of the GSO and the fast convergence speed of the PSO, this paper combines the above two algorithms and applies the combined algorithm to the BP neural network algorithm to solve the stochastic defect problem of initial weight value and threshold value,and then to ease the problem of slow convergence rate and inaccuracy of traditional BP neural network. The simulation results show that the improved algorithm has faster convergence speed and higher accuracy than the traditional BP neural network algorithm, thus improving the speed and robustness of license plate recognition.2. Under the Visual Studio 2012 integrated development environment(IDE), we achieve a vehicle access management system on the base of video image processing technology through using Open CV computer vision library code and database technology. The system can accurately identify the license plate number in real time,and give the information of owner and vehicle related to the license plate number at the same time, so that managers can manage the vehicle more easily.
