The rapid urbanization is accompanied by a variety of thermal environmental problems.It becomes increasingly significant.In recent years,thermal environmental problems are gradually been recognized and close attentions are paid to them,one of the most well-known is the thermal environmental.The city is composed of urban blocks.As important component unit,the evaluation of thermal environment and thermal comfort on block scale effects people's wellbeing.It's a complex interdisciplinary issue.Current studies on block-scale thermal environment have some shortcomings: First,these studies are mostly from the perspective of a single discipline,much less for a comprehensive interdisciplinary research in various disciplines;Second,computational models for numerical simulation of the street-scale thermal environment are complex,They are difficult to be applied in practical project.This study combined building environment with urban climatology and urban planning.In consideration of climate conditions,urban blocks and architectural features of Wuhan,research on street-scale thermal environment and thermal comfort issues is carried out.This study aims at combining the numerical anaiyses with field measurement,and summarizing the impact of many factors on thermal environment in Wuhan.And summarizes the mechanism of the influence factors of the street thermal environment,and puts forward some practical strategies for the improvement of the street thermal environment,the thermal environment to provide guidance for planning and design of urban block.According to the thermal environment of pedestrian streets in Wuhan area,this paper focuses on the following aspects:For further discussing the interrelationship between outdoor microclimatic comfort and street use in hot and humid regions,we performed a thermal comfort survey at two locations in Wuhan,China.Meteorological measurements(air temperature,globe temperature,relative humidity,and velocity of air flow),and obtain the field measurement data of pedestrian street.Finally,from the aspects of the geometric characteristics of street space,the ratio of height to width,the nature of street interface,the combination mode of buildings and the energy saving of buildings,etc.To plan strategies for the climate improving of street based on street thermal environmental.This study aids in understanding pedestrian street use in the Hot-summer and Cold-winter Zone,It works as references for designing the pedestrian street.The result of this study is a connection of urban climatology research and landscape design.
