The present framing camera with temporal resolution of several tens of picosecond based on the image converting tube and time to space mapping has meet obstacles created by space charge effect and the limited properties of cathode materials which prevent its performance from further improving.All-optical solid state framing camera is so appealing a mixture of picosecond or sub-picosecond order of temporal resolution,ultrahigh spatial resolution,extending detecting spectral band,reliability,stability and anti-interference,that it has become one of the most promising technologies in the ultrafast imaging area.All-optical solid state ultrafast imaging system is mainly comprised of generating system of temporal optical probe sequences,displaying system in space of optical probe sequences,the imaging detector,controlling system and image processing system.Among them,the first two are the key parts in the whole system.This paper is about the theoretical and experimental study of the all-optical solid state framing camera.In theory,this paper firstly introduces in detail the framing principle,and the framing technologies containing polarization framing,chirp framing,angle framing.Secondly,the generation of the supercontinuum utilizing a photonic crystal fiber is employed to broaden the probe spectrum.The linear chirp components of the spectrally broadening probe is help to realize the chirp framing.The propagation characteristics of the ultra-short pulse in the photonic crystal fibers are simulated by solving the nonlinear Schrodinger equation by the method of Split-step Fourier Transform.In the experiment,the parameters of the crystal for generating ordinary pulse and extraordinary pulse with 15 ps interval time and photonic crystal fiber is calculated and designed based on the theoretical results.A four-framing experiment combining polarization framing with wavelength framing is finished.Finally,we obtain a four-frame imaging result that the spatial resolution reaches 60lp/mm and the time resolution of the chirp framing and the polarization framing are 1.4ps and 15 ps,respectively?The results in this paper show that compared with traditional framing camera,all-optical solid state framing camera has a temporal resolution of order of picosecond or sub-picosecond and a spatial resolution of order of micron or a dozen micron.Our study can build a profound foundation for the further study on the all-optical solid framing camera,with the addition of the imaging detector.Our study will also promote the researches on the all-optical solid framing camera for the detection of ultra-short x-ray signal.
