| With the rapid development of information technology,the data center has entered a period of rapid development.The problem of its energy intensity is increasing.Whether from the angle of energy efficiency or the development of data center itself,it is imperative to improve its energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption.The airside economizer is a natural cooling technology that uses outdoor air directly,especially suitable for data centers that need continuous cooling for the whole year.In this paper,based on the features of the climate in Chongqing,airside economizer best running mechanism for data centers is proposed,and its energy saving effect has carried on the quantitative research.In this paper,the research progress of data centers is reviewed from three aspects: energy intensity,indoor environment and energy saving technology.Based on relevant research status and current problems,the method of combining theoretical analysis,field test investigation and energy simulation calculation is adopted.The main content and the technical route of this study are determined too.The temperature and humidity of outdoor air and the concentration of pollutants directly affect the use of airside economizer.ASHRAE’s latest data center indoor environmental standards released in 2015 is used in this thesis.The spatial and temporal variations of outdoor air temperature and air pollutants in Chongqing are analyzed briefly.The recommended location of the data center is also given.Based on different environmental levels of indoor air control requirements for data centers,this paper puts forward the operating mechanism of airside economizer under different conditions of natural cold quantity,satisfaction and surplus by means of partition fragmentation.The supply and demand matching of data center energy is realized.Based on the quantitative relation between the load characteristics of the data center and the power of IT equipment with the change of air temperature,a mathematical model for the power consumption of IT equipment and air-conditioning equipment was established.And with the aid of EnergyPlus 8.6.0,a data center energy consumption model is established which contains coupling relationship of IT equipment,air environment,the energy consumption of air conditioning.Based on the example of a data center in Chongqing,the method of field test and annual energy consumption survey was adopted.The thermal environment and energy utilization were analyzed by evaluation indexes.The energy model of the data center was then established using EnergyPlus.Quantitative research on energy saving technologies such as airside economizer is carried out.Running airside economizer and improving setting temperature can achieve significant energy saving.In combination with the different environmental requirements of the recommended level and the permissible level,the energy saving rate of the different temperature setting is studied quantitatively.The optimized operation mode of airside economizer is analyzed. |
