A Study On The Design Of Indoor Communication Space Of The Nursing Home Based On The Behavioral Characteristics

In recent years,with the socio-economic,technological and medical developed the global population structure changing,which led to the world’s common "population aging problem",In 1999,China’s elderly population accounts for one fifth of the global total,which has already attracted the eye of the world.According to our country,due to the successful implementation of family planning,"4-2-1" family structure(i.e.,four elderly people,two young men,one child)had a rapid development,This family structure led to the traditional way of family pension can not meet the needs of aging in our country,more and more elderly people choose nursing homes as their own way of pension mode.As a result of the improvement of social standard of living,nursing homes can not just be a shelter for the elderly,Which should also meet the spiritual needs of the elderly combined with the psychological characteristics of them.When the old people retire from their jobs,they are separated from the society,Social interaction become their strong demand.Nursing home communication space is important to enrich the daily life of the elderly and meet their communication needs.This paper summarizes the domestic and foreign research on the aged building,and summarizes the research on the aged buildings in China in recent ten years.Which found that there is a lack of research on the communication space of the nursing home.Moreover,the physiological function of the elderly decline as their physiological system indicators.At the same time their Psychological behavior characteristics compared to young people have undergone great changes.Therefore,Study on the communication space design of nursing home with the psychological characteristics of the elderly which is the starting point of this paper.Combined with the investigation of several nursing homes in Chongqing,The indoor communication space of the nursing home is divided into several parts,such as the living space,the communication space and the activity space.This paper analyzes the demand of the old man’s behavior and psychological characteristics on the communication space of the nursing home.This paper summarizes the combination form and characteristics of the indoor communication space in the nursing home for the needs of the elderly,simulating the spatial size relation of different communication patterns of the elderly,And puts forward the optimization strategy for the physical environment and the barrier design of the indoor communication space.The paper is divided into six chapters:The first chapter introduces the research background and present situation of the paper,defines the scope of the study and explains the relevant concepts of the paper,summarizes the research status and development of the nursing home building both at home and abroad,and explains the research purpose and research Meaning,and laid the foundation of the paper.The second chapter,introducing relevant psychology,environmental behavior and ergonomic theory,analyzing the physiological and psychological characteristics of the elderly,combining these theories and the behavioral psychological characteristics of the elderly with the needs of the elderly for the communication space of nursing homes.In the third chapter,The current situation of population aging and the development of nursing homes in Chongqing were combed.Selected 3 nursing homes in Chongqing to carry on the investigation,Collecting and arranging the nursing home location,architectural overview,indicators.Study the communication space of nursing home by surveying and mapping,taking photos and other methods.Analysising and summarizing the combination of traffic space,circulation.,physical environment,barrier free design and other factors.The fourth chapter summarizes the patterns of behavioral activities of elderly people in the communication space of nursing homes.Analysising the needs of the elderly for the nursing home mainly from the space portfolio,size,space physical environment,and barrier free design.The fifth chapter,based on the analysis of the elderly needs of the elderly homes,Analysising and researching the combination of form,size model,physical environment,and barrier-free design of the elderly home space,traffic space,activity room.And proposes the optimized design strategy for these several aspects.Aimming at provide a comfortable living space for the elderly in their later years.The sixth chapter makes a summary of the main achievements of the article and explains the future research directions.
