Inland water transportation plays a very important role in economic development,resource exchange and social progress.As a high utilization rate of space,the unit volume of less pollution emissions mode of transport,its advantages are in line with the requirements of sustainable development.Inland cargo ship is the main ship type of inland shipping,which plays a pivotal role in its development.At present,the concept of globalization of green ship technology has been widely recognized.More and more countries focus on research and development of energy-saving environmental protection of low-carbon ship skills.Ship resistance is one of the most important properties.Ship model experiment is the most important method,which can get the problem qualitative and quantitative solution,but it is often restricted by many conditions.In this paper,it uses computational software STAR-CCM + to simulate the ship's resistance in deep and shallow water.The appropriate computational domain and meshing method are developed.The boundary condition and the related parameters are discussed.The results of numerical simulation shows that the method is reliable.In the meanwhile,MAXSURF software is used to design the inland river with different square coefficients,and the corresponding ship hull models are established.The CFD numerical calculation method is used to calculate the ship resistance at different water depths of the inland river.The differences of ship resistance in deep and shallow water are compared.The variation of ship traveling wave at different water depths is studied.The resistance simulation results are summarized and calculated,and the residual resistance coefficients under different conditions are obtained.The relationship map between residual resistance coefficient and Froude number is generated.In order to achieve faster prediction of ship resistance,the resistance calculation program is programmed based on the usage of MATLAB and resistance map of inland series cargo ship.The resistance calculation program includes three calculation modules:frictional resistance,residual resistance and total resistance.The corresponding calculation parameters are inputted in each corresponding module,and the corresponding program source code instructions are executed.The resistance value in the case of designated parameters can be quickly calculated and it also has the function of writing report automatically.The residual resistance coefficient map and the resistance calculation program developed in this paper provide a quick way for the resistance estimation of the ship type,which can be reference materials for this kind of ships.
