Along with the ecological civilization construction has been proposed and the environmental awareness strengthening,traditional building development pattern which is energy-consuming,high pollution has been showing great disadvantages,raw soil building that is environmental protection and sustainable development attract the attention of researchers again.Adobe building has many advantages including simple construction process.easily to use local available materials,good thermal performance and indoor thermal performance,meanwhile it is in accordance with sustainable development.Traditional adobe was made artificially,using the method of wet or dry forming,it has low strength,poor water resistance and durability.Modified adobe and masonry has greatly improved in strength and durability,it has been demonstrated in some experimental studies,after that raw-soil mechanism brick was created.Existing research results showed that the raw-soil mechanism brick masonry has good compressive and along the mortar joint shear performance,so it can be used for wall masonry,but the research on deformation modulus and Poisson ratio of raw-soil mechanism brick masonry is almost blank.In this paper,the deformation modulus and Poisson ratio of raw-soil mechanism brick masonry were studied and discussed through axial compression test,this is also a preliminary study for the raw-soil brick masonry,as well as the key problems must be solved for engineering application.In this paper,according to the characteristics of the raw-soil mechanism brick,two types of 17 specimens were designed,based on the axial compressive tests of 17 raw-soil mechanism brick masonry specimens with different depth-thickness ratios and mortars were carried out,compression strength and stress-strain curve of raw-soil mechanism brick masonry were obtained,the failure pattern and force deformation in axis stress process performance of raw-soil mechanism brick masonry were studied.Through the analysis of the stress-strain curve,the test values of deformation modulus and Poisson ratio were obtained.Meanwhile,the value calculation method about deformation modulus and Poisson ratio of the raw-soil mechanism brick masonry was discussed.On basic of experimental data fitting,the experience formula of the deformation modulus and Poisson ratio were established.Influences of different factors on deformation modulus and Poisson ratio were analyzed.The experimental results showed that mortar admixtures and high-depth ratio have a significant influenced on deformation modulus and Poisson ratio of the raw-soil mechanism brick masonry,meanwhile the regression formula which established in this paper has been proved to be accurate and applicable.The paper providing a method and empirical formula that can determine raw-soil mechanism's deformation modulus and Poisson ratio,it provided reference to unifiy standards in raw-soil materials,and it also provide experimental evidences for the theoretical calculation and finite element simulation of structure.
