Study On Rural Highway Traffic Sign And Fence Safety Facilities

China is an agricultural country,where the rural road has always been an important factors that could have an great influence on the overall development of our country.During the 12 th Five-Year period,the mileage of rural road in China is increasing.Basically,the highway has reached every country in China.However,the traffic safety condition is not that optimistic,rural road have a higher accident rate than other road.Thus,President Xi required that the rural road should be build better、manage better、maintain better and run better in the 13 th Five-Year period.Therefore,based on the specific characteristics including drivers,vehicles,road and environment of rural road,using the advanced theory worldwide,exploring the suitable traffic safety measure,investigation into the rural road safety measure will be very helpful and very important to improve the safety condition in our country.By studying the four essential factors of traffic engineering,people,vehicles,roads,environment,respectively.characteristics of rural highway traffic was investigated,It is found that the characteristics of the rural highway of vehicle road environment and the characteristics of the highway is distinguish different from other highway of higher level.By studying the way/ car/ environmental characteristics of the rural road,security facilities technical parameters research foundation is built.Based on the domestic and international research,combined with rural driver visual characteristics,the installation position of the traffic signs were investigated and calculated;Based on the characteristics of rural road model,the paper puts forward the height of rural highway traffic safety marks;Considering the characteristics of rural drivers,vehicles,environment,the method to determine rural traffic sign size was suggested,which is more accurate and more reasonable,and it could be very helpful for construction and management of rural road in China in the future.Based on the domestic and international research,the law of conservation of energy was used to analyze the height of rural highway guardrail.Meanwhile,according to the Newton’s second law,the vehicle brake trajectory length was calculate,finally it is concluded that the appropriate width of fence in the countryside.
