Old university campus in Nanjing is the outstanding representatives of contemporary and modern campus planning in China for its rigorous exquisite spatial pattern, distinctive architectural style and rich cultural atmosphere. It is an important cultural heritage of the Chinese modern architectural history. This thesis takes Nanjing Forestry University(NFU) for the specific research object, research the campus landscape integrity protection and renovation in the perspective of macroscopic scale, medium scale and microscopic view. Analyze the relationship between campus space and city space from the perspective of macroscopic scale, to promote the NFU campus and its surrounding urban space into good relations; Of the medium level, comb and clear the campus space of different construction periods, set up campus historical and cultural landscape system, promote the connection and inheritance of the campus landscape space in different periods; Establish campus landscape conservation and renovation landscape space and give planning and design guidelines from the micro view. Based on the above analysis, the paper puts forward the solution of campus culture and history slow traffic system as the important carrier of campus landscape integrity protection and renovation.The first part of the paper is the introduction part, mainly discusses the research background, purpose and meaning. In addition, comb the current situation of domestic and foreign relevant research and practice, and then define the relevant concepts and theories. Before the subject study, the paper discusses how to study the campus integrity protection and renovation. Defining the research level of macroscopic scale, medium scale and microscopic view.The second part is focusing on the research of the macroscopic scale. Discusses the relationship of Nanjing university campus and city space. Study the present situation of the old campuses in Nanjing city from the following 4 aspects, campus spatial distribution, university construction history, subordinate relations of university, campus area of old campuses in Nanjing urban area. From the campus landscape historical and cultural value, the relationship between urban green space system, the relationship with the surrounding communities, and the urban traffic to explore the relationship between NFU campus and the surrounding urban space.In the third part, explore the NFU campus historical cultural landscape value from the medium level. Analyze the history of the campus space, study the morphological characteristics of the spatial pattern of historical and cultural landscape space, comb campus cultural and historical landscape space layout structure.The fourth part mainly study the specific landscape space from micro view. Through the POE analyze method to evaluate the NFU campus outdoor landscape space usage situation, to provide basis data for campus landscape protection and update planning.The fifth part of the paper mainly study the NFU old campus landscape conservation and update research strategy. Based on the old and new campus landscape inheritance and the boundary space optimization of the campus and the surrounding community, to set up dynamic campus cultural and historical landscape protection system. On this basis, considering the situation of outdoor landscape space and campus traffic conditions, establish the historical and cultural landscapes slow traffic system.To promote campus cultural and historical slow traffic system has great implementation value. The slow traffic system is of huge importance to the maintaining integrity of the campus historical and cultural protection and development. The symbolic system will guide the school teachers and students participate to the protection and make the historical landscape vivid. Campus historical and cultural landscape also can only be protected under the people's participation and development.
