In recent years,the graded broken stone as the base material type was widely use d in a variety of highway.However,the material,design,construction technology level o f the graded broken stone are all different in different regions,a serious impact on th e widely use of graded broken stone,According to construction situation in the northea st severe cold region,the designing index,material performance and construction process of the graded broken stone was studied further systematically,the study provide techni cal support for the graded broken stone applied in severe cold region.Firstly,starting from the research and analysis in the research status of the gra ded broken stone at home and abroad.forming method of graded broken stone was De termined in severe cold region,the gravel gradation design was studied through laborator y test;method and conditions was studied to determine freeze-thaw cycle test of the grad ed broken stone.The freezing resistance of graded broken stone was studied through t he freeze-thaw cycle test,was proposed CBR based on freezing resistance,to guide desi gn and construction of graded broken stone.This paper focuses on the material performance of graded broken stone,through laboratory test,studies the CBR value of the graded broken stone,rebound modulus,she ar strength,plastic deformation,such as mechanical index,at the same time the changingrule of the stress state was proposed.the technical requirements of the graded broken stone was studied in severe cold region;Through the test road,the construction proces s of the graded broken stone was studied in severe cold region,such as material s election,mixture mixing,transportation,paving,rolling and curing.
