With the development of the science and technology, education has occupied a pivotal position in society, and practical education also got more and more attention. In recent years, the education sector has attached much importance to the practical education.More and more universities and colleges start to set up various of professional practice and to carry out related activities. In this way, students can not only have a deeper understanding of the knowledge in the books, but also exercise practical ability.Practical education can also cultivate students' interest in disciplines and stimulate students' enthusiasm for innovation. However, most of the universities and colleges in China are still subject to varying degrees of constraints, facing the shortage of funds, outdated equipment, practical safety and other issues. These factors also seriously hindered the development of practical education in China's colleges and universities.Internet technology is booming, the Virtual experiment technology which is the combination of the Internet technology and practical education came into being. And the combination of Internet technology and practical education has become a new trend. And it is also a new way to solve the problem of practical education in China. This technology solved the problems faced by traditional practical education. It is also convenience for teachers and students to conduct an experiment. They can conduct an experiment anywhere, and no longer limited in the laboratory.Mechanical hydraulic course is the major compulsory courses for mechanical professional students. It is a practical course which is a combination of a number of disciplines with some difficulty. In this paper,we will use the Java technology to build the virtual experiment platform for hydraumatic based on Java3 D.Firstly, this paper has developed the mechanical hydraulic simulation experiment platform by combining the computer technology with the virtual experiment, and provided the convenient experimental teaching environment for the students and teachers by using the mature Java technology.Based on the summary and analysis of the current situation of virtual experiment at home and abroad, the demand analysis of mechanical hydraulic simulation experiment platform is carried out.According to the demand analysis of the simulation experiment platform, the model experiment platform is designed in detail, and the simulation experiment platform is divided into five modules: user management module, information management module, basic experiment demonstration module, basic experiment training module and design experiment module.Secondly, the virtual experimental platform is built based on swing technology with C/S architecture. When the platform was installed successfully, users can conduct experiment on the virtual experimental platform. The 3D virtual experiment environment is constructed by using Java3 D technology, the dynamic display of virtual experiment is realized by using multi-thread technology, and the relevant data processing is realized by using SQL Server and Hibernate technology. Thus, the mechanical and hydraulic simulation experiment platform combined with teaching and management was constructed. Finally, the five modules of the virtual experimental platform which is divided based on the detailed design of the simulation are tested separately. The basic experimental practice and design of experimental modules were tested by the classic mechanical and hydraulic experiments. After testing and application, the platform can meet the needs of users, can be used as a way for students to experiment,or as the multimedia teaching means to assist teachers. And it also help students have a better understanding of the abstract principles.
