With the growth of freeway mileage,the traffic accident rate increases,and the traffic safety problem is becoming more and more prominent.All kinds of environmental factors,especially unfavorable factors,are the major hidden dangers of freeway driving safety.How to ensure the highway traffic safety under adverse conditions has become a social security issue that all countries attach great importance to.Therefore,this paper makes a systematic analysis of the highway speed limit problem.The relationship between speed and traffic safety is analyzed under all kinds of environmental factors.This paper firstly summarizes the present common limit principle and method,and the method for determining the speed limit value of speed,speed and traffic accident relations are described,and the speed limit value determination method was described,and then select the speed limit scheme,considering factors and classification of.Including: fog,snow,rain,night environment environmen,mountain environment,tunnel environment and ramp environment.Then,this paper on the basis of the above analysis,according to the different environment factors,based on the physics theory and experience on the value of the corresponding mathematical analysis,taking into account the safety distance for different road conditions and natural environment are given different environmental factors under the maximum speed limit value calculation formula and corresponding suggestions.Finally,through the simulation example,the calculation model of night environment and the comprehensive analysis of engineering cases are given to verify the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper.
