Along with the vigorous development of modern education,we emphasis on the teaching environment has gradually improved.With the increase of the number of students in colleges,and the improvement of the requirements of teaching facilities,the original old campus are facing the urgent need to update,and the demands for new campus construction are also increasing.Teaching building is an important part of the school building,and it is also an important platform for the transmission of knowledge,so the importance of its acoustic environment is self-evident.There are a lot of atrium type teaching buildings in the new buildings,most of which are glass ceilings,and the surface are mostly a very high acoustic reflectance materials,so will cause serious acoustic problems.The research of classrooms acoustic environment have been relatively mature.The atrium space as a key part of the teaching building,and the acoustic environment of which directly affect the acoustic environment of each classroom.Therefore,this paper takes the atrium spaces in the atrium teaching buildings as the main research objects.This paper first elaborates the theory of the acoustic environment of the atrium teaching buildings,including the subjective evaluation and objective index of sound quality of the teaching buildings,the problems of the acoustic environment of the atrium teaching buildings and the evaluation methods and the related standards of the teaching environments.Secondly,the teaching buildings of Xiu-yuan,Hong-yuan and Ming-yuan in Weishui campus of Chang'an University is taken as the research object,subjective questionnaire survey and field measurement of the sound environment were conducted for the teachers and students who regularly use these buildings.The survey shows that teachers and students have the lowest level of satisfaction with the acoustic environment of Xiu-yuan teaching building.It is believed that the language clarity in the teaching building is poor and the acoustic environment transformation is needed.The field measurements include indoor noise measurement,octave measurement and reverberation time measurement.The measurement results show that the indoor noise level of Xiu-yuan teaching building is the highest and mainly at the lower frequency,and the reverberation time is longer than the other.Finally,combined with the results of subjective evaluations and objective tests,the author puts forward the measures,from the five aspects of the background noise,the sound absorption and noise reduction,the sound insulation measures and the reduction of the coupling space,to improve the sound environment of the atrium,and these are useful to provide a good reference for the teaching acoustical environments.
