Highway loess dam-like embankment is a road access,water storage,soil and water conservation and environmental improvement embankment,loess dam-like embankment reservoir can effectively ensure that the surrounding livestock,irrigation and living water required,at the same time,the evaporation of water in the reservoir can improve the surrounding air humidity and improve the surrounding ecological environment.However,some practical problems can be encountered during the design process,such as the high water level,the design of the culvert for the setting and the design location.In order to solve these problems,it is necessary to construct the theoretical method of the flood control limit of the highway loess dam-like embankment which is easy to meet the actual design requirements.The following results have been achieved through in-depth research:1.Through the study of the first chapter and the second chapter,on the basis of culvert setting and flood discharge capacity theory,the principle of water balance and on the basis of the existing literature,increase considering the seepage around the dam,the theoretical basis of the total loss rate QZS,the ideal average water level and the flood limit water level are obtained,and summed up the design steps,convenient follow-up in-depth study.2.In the third chapter,we have carried out in-depth study and analysis of the total loss rate QZS equation,the calculation methods of the annual intake QNRL,the evaporation rate QZF,the leakage rate of the bank QKA,the leakage rate of the dam QRB were obtained respectively.Finally deduced the calculation method of the total loss QZS,and according to the calculation method of water-total loss rate QZS relation curve,then get the method to determine the ideal average water level H;3.In the fourth chapter,the capacity calculation method of the measurement are introduced,according to the calculation method for water storage capacity curve,and use the already got the ideal average water level H to get the flood limit water level(H + h').And through the simulation of different types of reservoirs is obtained by using the same conditions as the external environment factors and the dam bodies,regardless of the reservoir type,any embankment dam type must be an ideal average water level and upper and lower water level,and the ideal average water level is only related to the surface area S of the water level and the length of the shoreline l.4.In the fifth chapter,the influence of sediment deposition in the reservoir area is also studied,got the calculation method of sediment yield,after years of sedimentation,the effec-tive storage and flood detention capacity decreases,the resulting effect is unfavorable for dam-like embankment,fill too high will cause the reservoir dried up,lost the use of dam-like embankment.5.In the sixth chapter through the field measurements of dam-like embankment,respectively using the calculation method of the third chapter compares the actual reservoir without considering leakage and consider leakage results of two different conditions: without considering the reservoir leakage when the use of the third chapter method to calculate the ideal average water level H higher than the actual water level,using this method can also be to design,simple and safer;Considering the reservoir leakage calculate the ideal average water level and the actual water level is relatively close to the ideal average water level.It can be used for the design of the height of the dam embankment,the flood limit water level and the design of the culvert,the design is more accurate and actual.6.At the end of the sixth chapter,based on the set of culverts and culverts discharge capacity design calculation method of study,this paper measured the embankment and several embankments in literature cannot set culverts,and through the field investigation of several dam-like embankment,culverts are no trace of water,this shows that the calculation method is consistent with the actual situation.
