| The street is a familiar and unfamiliar concept for every citizen.Familiarity is due to we live and share life experience there,and the streets has become part of our lives.Unfamiliar is due to the road today are no longer the streets in the past,the word interpreted the motor vehicle priority.Walking is the innate ability of all people to be healthy.Walking contributes to the city’s sustainable development,but also facing the deterioration of the walking environment,which is increasingly subject to urban planning and transportation engineering of attention.This paper studies the impact of the living space environment on the suitability of walking,and put forward the practical method of walking benchmarking and the improvement of pedestrian environment under the complete street design concept.Based on the complex street function of traffic-public space,this paper puts forward the two-dimensional street matrix(street type by land use and road level by the classification of the traffic volume.The importance of the living service street is analyzed in spatial distribution and walking frequency.The practicality of walking is understood to be a constructive concept that needs to be given conceptual definitions and operational definitions,respectively.The street walk suitability concept is defined as the extent to which the street environment is conducive to walking,operating on the pedestrian’s psychological needs hierarchy and the definition of potential environmental elements.Through the comparison of the two research programs,the multi-selection model based on the street environment element-walking experience score is adopted as the scheme.The street environment survey records a total of 18 street elements for 28 living-service streets.The walking experience survey is conducted by the pedestrian view video record and street walking score is gained based on the Likert scale method.Based on the street survey data,15 independent variables that characterize the characteristics of the street walking environment were designed and dimensioned.The ordered logistic regression is adopted to construct the street environment variable and the walking experience score in order to confirm the significant effect of the street environment variable on the walking experience.Based on the positive and negative effects of street environment variables on walking suitability,the idea of benchmarking management in management is introduced,and the entropy weight based RSR-GA model is constructed to solve the steps of benchmark identification and benchmarking in walking suitability management.And the example validates the operability of the walking benchmarking management.Under the concept of complete street design,this paper introduces the architecture-street cross-sectional collaborative planning and the priority of street space demand in multiprofessional collaboration in street planning and design.Summarizes the principles and relevant experience that can be followed in the planning and design of street pedestrian facilities and the design and management of street walking environment. |
