As one of the key technologies to realize interconnection of embedded systems, bus technology has been developed for many years. With the increasing complexity of embedded systems, such as interconnection,scalability,real-time and high-speed has become the basic requirements of bus technology. As a typical strong real-time complex embedded electronic system, the basic interconnection architecture of automotive electronic systems started from the initial custom interconnect structure, experienced LIN,CAN,has now developed to the stage based on FlexRay bus architecture to build the system architecture.Like the automotive electronics system, the armored vehicle electronic system has a large number of control node, high data speed, deterministic real-time control requirements, high reliability, fault tolerance support and data cross-linking characteristics, which makes its interconnection architecture design is the key element of the electronic system. As a new generation of automotive electronic system bus standard,FlexRay bus with its high communication rate, strong real-time feature, scalable network, large number of nodes to support, high reliability and other characteristics, has been selected to use as the armored vehicle electronic system infrastructure.FlexRay bus controller and FlexRay bus transceiver are the key chips to support the flexible system based on FlexRay bus.In this paper,we study the FlexRay communication protocol to design a FlexRay protocol controller IP for on-chip integration and can convenient realization of the single-chip controller. It has a basic theoretical significance for the study of networked, deterministic communication of high reliability bus architecture and hardware implementation. This work can greatly support the hardware implementation of FlexRay architecture for domestic armored vehicle electronics. The designed IP will establish a strong foundation to support the FlexRay specification chips design for the defense of weapons and equipment.
