With the increasing demand for electricity in China,the requirements of the quality of power supply and power transmission are growing.The distribution of transmission lines is more and more extensive,most of them are in the field and the environment is complicated.Therefore,taking effective training methods to improve the operation level of inspectors is important to insure the safety and reliable operation of the lines.As the traditional transmission line inspection training methods have great limitations,in order to improve the efficiency and quality of training,we have done a lot of research on the demand of transmission line inspection and training,put forward a transmission line inspection training simulation platform with a targeted training and a variety of characteristics of the inspection mode.The platform integrates advanced technology such as 3D modeling technology,scene building technology,Unity3D development technology,collision detection technology and so on.It has unique advantages in terms of training cost,training efficiency and safety of training.(1)Through the construction of line inspection equipment tree,the component model of transmission power lines constructs by hierarchical modeling method which is completed in 3D studio MAX modeling software.The computing time of CPU is reduced in use of texture baking technology to show the effect of light.The season tour fidelity of virtual environment is improved by using the particle system to simulate the effect of discharge and the weather.At the same time,the problems in the modeling process and the three-dimensional model of the virtual transmission line equipment are optimized.(2)Considering the connection between the electrical equipment and the safety distance,the transmission line N fork tree is constructed by Using the spatial division method to divide the transmission line scene.(3)The hierarchical OBB Surrounded box tree of the tower is constructed,by using of the collision detection algorithm which is based on hierarchical Surrounded box.The collision detection is completed by using the separation axis to detect whether the OBB bounding box has collided.(4)On the Unity3D platform,the four functional modules of the virtual transmission line training platform are implemented,and the virtual training platform of the transmission line is tested and applied at the transmission management office of Xilingol Electric Power Bureau of Inner Mongolia Electric Power Company.The regular inspection simulation and characteristic tour simulation are realized,and the score of theoretical examination and practice test is given automatically.
