With the development of technologies and concepts,the thermal management technology is no longer limited to cooling systems.It is a comprehensive energy management concept that includes waste heat recovery system,air intake and exhaust management system,solar energy system,etc.Thermal management technologies need to consider economic,reliability,comfort and environmental protection.In the R&D process of thermal management system,the experimental basic data and the test to verify thermal management system performance are indispensable.The onboard measurement test is very important which shows the performance of system under the actual conditions and the coupling effect between different systems.So the development of onboard measurement system for thermal management technology is very necessary.The purpose of this paper is to develop the onboard measurement system for thermal management technology.Research contents:1.This paper analyzes the typical thermal management system for testing needs and summarize the measurement methods of voltage,current,temperature,flow rate and other physical.The right sensors are choosed based on the vehicle test environment.The CompactRIO test system is choosed based on the the output signal types of sensors.2.The scalability and reconfigurable software system is built using LabVIEW language.The tester can use the software system to configure test module for a thermal management system,set up each channel of the CompactRIO test system to connect different type sensors,read the vehicle ECU data and communicate with external devices.3.The remote monitoring system composed of cloud server and Andorid phone is created by to share experimental data.4.At last,the onboard test of the intelligent cooling system is carried out.The data of electronic thermostat,electronic fan and electronic pump performance test is used to develop control strategy.
