With the current situation of water resource development,electricity market reform and the necessity of economic operation of hydropower station being showed at the first,this paper illustrates the principle of how"load valley drop-out" increase the rate of water utilization in operation practice,analyses the technical solution and improvement measures of"load valley drop-out" operation.Based on the practical implement of the "load valley drop-out"operation,the paper discusses the method of calculating the benefit of"load valley drop-out" operation,then uses "top-cut" and "side-cut"method to calculate the benefits,and last analyses the result.The optimal dispatching model of "load valley drop-out" under electricity market reform is established.The model takes the features of the generating units and the related operating constraints into consideration,including the "peak-valley" electric price model which is based on the current state of electricity market reform and time-of-use price.Then uses primal-dual interior point algorithm to solve the model with Yalmip modeling tools in Matlab.Finally,the paper conclude the work have been done,looks forward the further problems to be solved,and gives some advices of the optimal dispatching of hydropower station.
