Power quality has a close relationship with industrial production,scientific research and people's daily life.With the development of society and science,the demand for power quality of all kinds of electrical equipment is increasing.The improvement of power quality is a focused issue in the electricity research.The reactive power in the grid is an essential factor affecting power quality,which directly impacts the equipment capacity,line loss and voltage fluctuation.Reactive power compensation is a vital technology which can improve power quality.With the significant advantages of being able to rapidly and continuously compensate reactive power,the static var generator(SVG)is broadly applied.The control method of SVG is a hot topic in power electronic area.The research on SVG deadbeat control system is illustrated in this paper,and an experiment platform for SVG is designed.Firstly,the significance and development of the reactive power compensation technology are explained in this paper.Secondly,the advantages of SVG over the other compensators are analyzed and the research status of the application and control methods of SVG are introduced.Furthermore,the basic principles of SVG and deadbeat control are illustrated,and the deadbeat control system of SVG is built by deriving the deadbeat mathematical model of SVG.In addition,ip-iq calculation method based on instantaneous power theory is used to detect reactive current.The SVG deadbeat control simulation system to prove the feasibility of the control strategy is built by MATLAB/Simulink simulation software.The system mainly includes the main circuit,the AC load,deadbeat controller and SVPWM module.The hardware circuit of SVG including the main circuit,the sampling circuit and the bipolar signal isolated circuit is also designed and produced in this paper.Then the hardware experiment is built together with the connection inductor,DC side capacitor and the central control chip.In addition,the software control programs of SVG deadbeat control system are compiled based on TMS320F2812 control chip.Finally,the software programs are debugged jointly with the hardware circuit,and the reactive power compensation experiment is completed.
