This Paper based on an internship project,called" Interface design of Vtooth smart water flosser Application”,when the author worked in Hangzhou Neo Cross Technology Co.Ltd.It aims to create a new user experience with smart solutions for traditional water flossers.Traditional water flossers provide fewer functions in hardware and lack nursing feedback,thus they cannot help users learn the benefit of water flossers and may destroy user experience.This project designs a smart water flosser based on mobile Internet technology to help users solve problems and improve their user experience.As a kind of smart product,smart water flosser also faces many new challenges in design.This topic need to consider different actors in the interface design process,such as the interactive and visual issues in smart phone applications,how do applications of intelligent hardware meet user needs and how to coordinate the relationship between applications and hardware.Therefore,this paper mainly adopts the goal-oriented design method,comes from “About face 4”,which explores the user's needs from the user research and solves the above-mentioned problems by combining with the scenario scenarios.In this paper,we first conclude the characteristics of the Vtooth users through quantitative and qualitative research data,and then construct the personas according to the users' modeling method.After that,the primary persona is used to design user scenarios,such as when user will use the water flosser application,when users will connect to Bluetooth,and then the user needs will be found by analyzing scenarios.After getting the user needs,the interactive framework is gradually built under the guidance of the ten heuristic usability principles.This process not only considers the interaction logic between pages but also considers the interaction logic between the pages and water flosser.In addition,during the construction of the design framework,the author also used the Heuristic Evaluation to test the usability of the design framework and also iterated and modified the test results.Finally,the design of the visual framework is to improve the design details and aesthetics based on the interactive framework.The project fully uses the goal-oriented design method,solving practical problems from the user's view.It can be used as reference for the further application design of smart water flosser,and the research results can be used in the other intelligent hardware application design research.The design methodology and design principles used in this article also serve as a reference for other UX projects.Vtooth smart water flosser finally mass produced in Shenzhen by Junke Technology Co.,Ltd.It also completed the crowdfunding and has been released in Jingdong mall which means the project finally finish all the design,development,production and sales processes.The product achieve praise from users and high recognition from related experts and have reached and validated the design goal.
