In an era of user experience economy and with the development of intelligent vehicle network technology, the future intelligent mobile cockpit will have multiple functions, leading to a new human–machine relationship and new requirements for interaction in the automotive industry. Therefore, how to create a good human-machine interface(HMI)for smart Internet-connected vehicles that meets the needs of target users becomes a key issue to attract and gain consumers in the future.Along with the diversification of HMI categories and functions, its design orientation is changing from satisfying a single driving scenario to multi-scenario needs, and this unprecedented change has put forward brand-new requirements for the design of HMI of smart connected cars.Through the study of user experience design,we will explore the optimization of design strategies to enhance the integration of HMI with the main consumer groups of "Generation Z" and the trend of horizontal development of HMI screen ratio. The research will provide theoretical support for the design innovation of HMI in the intelligent Internet-connected car industry and help the innovation of HMI design in the intelligent networked vehicles industry on a practical level. The article first examines the current state of user experience design, organizes the theory and application of user experience design, and establishes the theoretical foundation for subsequent research. Then, the current HMI products of intelligent networked mass-produced vehicles are analyzed on the basis of the principles and methods of UX design, and the research on the classification of physicality, interaction mode and other dimensions by screen type is initiated. After sorting out the current situation of physical devices and interface design(hard and soft)of HMI of smart Internet-connected vehicles, the problems of lack of the main driver and passenger emotions and weak entertainment attributes are derived. In the pre-research phase,a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the target group was carried out using questionnaire surveys to summaries the corresponding needs under different scenarios and identities. In the strategy stage, put forward the design strategy of providing comfortable travel experience and emotional value as the core, and proposed four dimensions from driving safety, driving pleasure, operation efficiency and functional difference, while adapting the HMI with special proportion screen. Finally, using the Ford Evos 27-inch "through-screen" as the design vehicle, the design practice of HMI interaction, function and vision is studied from the perspective of user experience and human-vehicle cooperation, using the main driver and passengers functions as an opportunity point for driving mode innovation, and exploring the possible interactions of different users in the intelligent cabin. The design solutions are validated and tested in the form of user interviews to obtain subjective satisfaction and evaluation data during the interaction process, and to promote the feedback on the design practice of HMI for smart networked vehicles.Based on the above,it’s concluded that the HMI design should be based on the emotional experience of "Generation Z" users and that the function should be upgraded to the level of emotional continuity to accommodate the experience of the "third space" in the mobile intelligent cabin. In the diversification of vehicle scenarios and functional forms,we will realize the continuous display of user experience in HMI innovation and promote the development of China’s intelligent networked vehicle industry.
