Widely used in various industries,slurry pump is a kind of pump classified by the transported medium and specially used in transporting medium of solid and liquid mixture.Comparing with clean water pumps,slurry pumps are of shorter service life and higher maintenance cost due to the high corrosion and abrasion of the pumping medium.Accompanying with the development in technology,the applications and demands of slurry pumps will also develop at the same time.Regarding the site performance of slurry pumps,the suitable and scientific pump selection is the most important thing of all.The pump selection work today focuses on the conformity in the technical specification of pumps more,but lack of analyzing the collective costs of the pumps' long term operation.Deeply analyzing the technical parameter of slurry pumps,basing on the Matlab software platform,using the mathematical statics and ploy fitting technology,the author made a study on how to convert the performance curves of various pumps at various speeds to mathematical formulas progressively from a beginning research on the similar condition for only one pump at a single speed.Basing on the above,the author also made a research on how to fulfill the pump selection work in technical aspect in a mathematical method.Absorbing the idea of LCC,the author also analyzed the combination of slurry pumps' LCCs beginning at the customer's purchasing.Then,the author established and simplified the LCC mathematical model of slurry pumps by focusing on their key LCC factors,and made a study on how to quantify these indexes.Under the theory of both the lower cost in long term operation and the conformity in technical aspect,the author made a research on how to achieve the collective pump selection system at last.Furthermore,the author designed the system functions,calling relationships of program modules and the programming codes of Matlab software.The slurry pump collective selection system can provide configuration,technical and costs information to the operator.It is easy for the operator to find the optimized scheme in synthesis on the information,so that we can improve the slurry pump application level,cut the customer's cost,and save the public resource.This research is significant.
