The combined-sluice pump project has the advantages of small area and saving the cost of immigrant.So it has been widely promoted in the plain area.The combined-sluice pump project can be divided into two types:asymmetric and symmetrical layout.The structure of asymmetric layout combined-sluice pump project is complicated.When the pump station is running,it appears the following situation,such as roundabout,whirlpool and other bad flow regime in the forbay.When the sluice operates,it easily leads to the occurrence of oblique flow and reflux.Therefore,it is necessary to study the inlet pool hydraulic characteristics of asymmetric arrangement for the combined-sluice pump project.In this paper,we take the Xifeihe combined-sluice pump project as the research object.It uses UG,GAMBIT,FLUENT software and physical model test to study the inlet pool hydraulic characteristics.The main research contents are as follows;(1)This paper studies computational fluid dynamics software,the control equation,and the turbulence model,boundary condition,mesh division pattern and solution method,which is suitable for analyzing hydraulic characteristics of Xifeihe combined-sluice pump project.We design the physical model test of Xifeihe combined-sluice pump project from the aspects,for example,the model test scope,similarity criterion,model material and arrangement,measuring instrument and test method.(2)We use FLUENT software to study the suitable length of the diversion pier of Xifeihe combined-sluice pump project,and analyze the influence of the length of the diversion piers to the inlet flow regime,imported section axial velocity distribution uniformity and swirl comprehensive influence function F value.On the basis of this,it is preferable that the length of the diversion pier is 25m(scheme 2).(3)Under the optimal length,we study the effect of different opening parameters of diversion pier on the inlet flow regime,imported section axial velocity distribution uniformity and swirl comprehensive influence function F value.According to the result,when the length of the pier is 25m,the opening width,the adjacent center hole spacing and the hole height is 4.5m ×6.25m × 5m.On the basis of the above,if in the middle of the 5#runner and 6#runner increasing the length,thickness and height of 1m × 1.2m ×8.8m short pier(scheme 19),the pool of the rectification effect will be better.(4)It uses the physical model test to analyze the flow regime of the inlet pool corresponding to the typical scheme under the pumping condition and the self-row condition.Then we choose scheme 2 and scheme 19 to analyze the flow regime and velocity distribution by comparting numerical simulation and model test results.Thereby it verifies the accuracy of numerical simulation and the rationality of the preferred scheme.This paper studies on the influence of diversion pier on the hydraulic characteristics of Xifeihe combined-sluice pump project.Numerical simulation results are effective in guiding the model test research,saving the investment of the model test and improving the research efficiency.At the same time,the model test verify the accuracy of numerical simulation.The research methods and achievements of this paper can provide the improvement measures and suggestions for the design and operation management of Xifeihe combined-sluice pump project,which is of great significance to ensure safe,efficient and stable operation.Moreover,it can also provide some reference value for the design,operation management and research of similar combined-sluice pump project.
