With the development of the nautical career and exaltation of science and technology,The intelligence and digital level of ship is improving.The monitoring and control system becomes more and more important to ensure safe navigation and operation on the sea.The main function of ship monitoring and control system is monitoring the real-time data of equipment and control the status of these equipment,and there is a high level of this system's systematic and integrated,it requires display lots of data in the same time on limited display space,and the operator needs to monitoring and control lots kinds of equipment data in the same time,so unreasonable software interface design will give a high cognitive load and pressure of operation,this situation will have a low effectiveness and experience of operation.In order to solve this problem and improve the usability of ship monitoring and control system,this paper will optimization the design of software interface of ship monitoring and control system by research the mechanism of people's cognition,learning,operation and reaction to information.The main research work of this paper is as follows:Firstly,the paper researches the software interface information cognitive process of human by research the theories of cognitive mechanism,such as human brain's information processing system model,selective attention and cognitive load,and then,analyzing and extracting the contents to guide the design of software interface of ship monitoring and control system.Secondly,through the research of relevant theory of cognitive mechanism,raising systematic design principles based on cognitive mechanism,including the principle of visibility,principle of cognitive mechanism and principle of experience,and describing these principles in detail.Raising the rapid design method of ship monitoring and control system software interface based on Axure by researching the design method and design process of ship manipulation system software interface and the design software used in this kind of design process,and Simultaneously,improving the design process of ship monitoring and control system software interface.Thirdly,analyzing the structure of this system and the function and structure of each subsystem,defining the design contents of this system,and then,designing three kinds of layout modes of interface information based on the design principles of ship monitoring and control system software interface based on cognitive mechanism,and selecting the best information layout mode.Finishing all the software interfaces by using the rapid design method of ship monitoring and control system software interface based on Axure.and make the ship system as the example,designing the high-fidelity prototype of it to task the usability of the design programs.Finally,evaluating the interface design programs by using the composite evaluation method consists of evaluation of physiological experiment based on eye-tracking technology,evaluation of task performance and subjective evaluation based on NASA-TLX subjective evaluation chart of cognitive load.and obtaining the result that the usability of improved ship monitoring and control system software interface is better than former software interface by analyzing the evaluation data,and Simultaneously,the result proves the effectiveness of the design principles of ship monitoring and control system software interface based on cognitive mechanism.
