Study On Interface Usability Design Of Taxi APP For The Aged

In this age of accelerating technology,rapid means of transportation is increasing.But some special groups can't enjoy this convenience.Aging process in China is accelerating.More and more urban elderly people are having transportation difficulties.According to one statistic,most of taxies are booked by young people on taxi APPs,the aged often can't catch a taxi at the roadside and complain about it.As the obvious weaknesses in physiological function and information literacy,the aged usually are not good at using taxi APPs.The usability study is tried to solve the problems of taxi APPs from its characteristics.This study started at the interface usability theory through literature review.It was focused on interface usability theory and an indicator evaluation system construction.This laid a theoretical foundation which was applied to the taxi App interface usability indicator evaluation system for the aged.Then the physiological and psychological characteristics of the aged were analyzed.Combined with interface usability theory,four indicators,perceptual system,thinking system,behavioral system and satisfaction degree,are constructed as the first-level indicators of the interface usability indicator evaluation system.Then the existing taxi APP interfaces were analysed.User experience was the main basis.It was mainly focused on strategic layer,structure layer,framework layer,border layer and presentation layer.It was summed up that simplified operation steps and rich interaction were effective ways to improve interface usability.Then eight indicators,visual design,tactile auditory design,function elements,UI design,information design,interactivity elements,product objective and user requirement,were established as the secondary indicator of usability evaluation system.Finally,the use of taxi APPs in the aged was studied through in-depth interviews,on-site user testing and other methods.Thirty indicators such as legibility,comparability and consistency are established as the three-level indicator of the evaluation system.A specific indicator evaluation model was quantitative built with analytic hierarchy process(AHP)with previous studies.Simultaneously these indicators were given weight to improve the indicator evaluation system.The interface usability of the existing taxi APPs was evaluated depending on it.The design of the aged taxi APP was improved to solve the problems obtained.Finally the improved taxi APP was contrasted again to evaluate the usability level.In this study,an evaluation system of taxi APP interface usability indicator for the aged was constructed.It provided important reference and expanded research space.The study was tried to find out existing problems through the evaluation system.The design of taxi APP interface isimproved to be more suitable for the aged.This design can provide rich ideas for other interface design facing the aged.
