With the development of China's economy,construction of highway tunnel has been developing rapidly in recent years.By improving the quality of tunnel lighting,traffic accident rate can be reduced,the traffic quality of road network can be also improved.At present,the design of tunnel lighting is still in the photopic category,without considering mesoptic and non-visual photobiological effects.These researches are mainly on luminance of road surface.Research on driver's ability to recognize obstacle is not enough.Therefore,research on evaluation method and design,measurement and monitoring technology of tunnel lighting environment is of great significance.This paper summarizes the research results in the field of tunnel lighting,combined with current states of China's tunnel lighting,starting from the related researches on mesoptic and non-visual photobiological effects,compares the influence of typical tunnel lighting sources to driver;introduces national and international standards of tunnel lighting,choose luminance as the basis of tunnel lighting quality evaluation,so as to calculate overall uniformity and longitudinal uniformity of road surface luminance,small target visibility(STV)and other evaluation indexes.This paper also models and simulates tunnel lighting environment with different arrangements and different installation angles of lamps in DIALux software,realizes comparatively ideal tunnel lighting design.In addition,this paper researches measuring method of small target visibility(STV)in simulative tunnel with imaging luminance meter;designs human experimentation on driver's vision,examines the influence of different lighting environments on the visual ability of small target on subjective level.With comparing the influences of ambient exterior luminance,color temperature on requirement of tunnel lighting,this paper presents a design of tunnel lighting control system,realizes the intelligent controlling and dynamic changing of tunnel lighting based on DMX512 protocol and pulse-width modulation.Research results of this paper has practical significance and wide application prospect to improve tunnel lighting quality,realize safe,comfortable and energy-saving tunnel lighting system,and reduce traffic accident rate,has better economy benefit and social benefit.
