Under the background of 'Made in China 2025',electronic components and workpieces are highly diversified.Vibratory bowl feeder is the typical vibratory feeding equipment in factory automation production line to replace human.However,the period of traditional design on vibratory bowl feeder is long,and a set of vibratory bowl feeder only can be used to transfer the special parts.Traditional design method of vibratory bowl feeder has low flexibility and is no longer suited to diversified and small batches of parts.The method of modular design is introduced to the vibratory bowl feeder design,aimed to design and assemble the vibratory bowl feeder quickly according to parts.Firstly,the general planning of modular design on bowl vibratory feeder is given.Then the transmission theory of vibratory bowl feeder,including the modeling and simulation of the average speed of workpieces,modeling of two degrees of freedom based on vibratory bowl feeder and natural frequency,is analyzed in this paper.The aim is to provide theoretical basis for the modular design of vibratory bowl feeder.Secondly,the modular design methods of spiral track,cone storage disc,orientation structure,shock absorber,leaf spring and electromagnet are proposed.Thirdly,the test platform based on sensors is well modularized.Then several controlling systems of vibratory bowl feeder arc modularized in this paper too.Finally,the T-shape parts are taken as an example to explain the process of the modular design on vibratory bowl feeder,and a set of vibratory bowl feeder is designed and assembled quickly for T-shape parts.After analysising the modular design process of vibratory bowl feeder for T-shape parts,the modular design method can be used to design and assemble a set of vibratory bowl feeder quickly for diversified and small batches of parts.Therefore,the modular design of vibratory bowl feeder proposed in this paper is effective and reliable,and can be used to provide the theoretical basis for product development of vibratory bowl feeder.
