Development And Application Of Pellet Vacuum Drying Oven

The development of pellet vacuum drying oven is one of important scientific research project for nuclear fuel manufacturing sector.The purpose of this project is to develop vacuum drying equipment based on absorbing the nuclear power technology to realize the localization of key nuclear fuel manufacturing equipment and to improve the localization level of nuclear fuel manufacturing technology.The research and manufacturing of the equipment consists of hardware and software.The research of hardware includes the vacuum system design,oven body design,compulsion cooling system design,cooling water system design,heating system design,gas distribution system design.The research of software is mainly for eclectic control system including process monitor system design,oven temperature control system design,process control system design,record system design and safety alarm system design.The research and design for hardware system and software system are carried out in this thesis according to the main technical parameter(the difficulties include the control of vacuum chamber sealing and vacuity,the design of transmission device,the guarantee of thermal evenness of heating system,selection of fan and so on).The outcomes of the thesis include the optimized design plan determination,the successful manufacturing of the drying oven,the PLC qualification and equipment qualification for drying oven.The pellet drying process has also been researched using the equipment to determine the optimized parameter and to fully demonstrate the equipment stability and reliability.To meet the increasing demand of the nuclear power in China,an advanced and economic pellet drying equipment is provided by this project with much lower cost and higher drying capacity.The successful development of the equipment has filled the blank of pellet vacuum drying equipment in China.It has great social and economic benefits.
