The shaped ball valve is a good regulation ball valve,it is widely used in energy transport,chemical,pharmaceutical industry.The intercepting shape of valve core as an important V-shaped ball valve structure,that regulatory performance and internal flow characteristics,those will affect the V-shaped ball valve Work reliability.Therefore,in this paper,the numerical simulation and experimental study on the regulation performance and internal flow characteristics of V-shaped ball valve with different intercepting shapes.The influence of interception shapes on the regulation performance and the internal flow of the V-shaped ball valve was analyzed,and the technical support was provided for the design and use of the V-shaped ball valve.The main contents are as follows:(1)The establishment of model and experimental system: Three-dimensional modeling of V-shaped ball valve of different intercepting shapes were carried out by using Solidworks software.The cone angle included 30 degrees,45 degrees,60 degrees,75 degrees and 90 degrees.And the internal flow filed was meshed by ICEM.The experimental system was designed and built.Through the valve performance experiment,we got the flow,inlet pressure,and outlet pressure of the V-shaped ball valve with kind of interception shapes.The realizable k-epsilon turbulence model is used for the prediction of turbulent flow.The internal flow of V-shaped ball valve with different intercepting shapes were simulated by FLUENT software.And the experimental date of inlet and outlet pressure were fitted as the inlet and outlet of boundary condition to numerically simulate of transient condition.(2)The V-shaped ball valve with different cone angle under steady state conditions regulate performance and internal flow: Through the experimental research and numerical simulation,the influence of different intercepting shapes on the regulation performance and internal flow of V-shaped ball valve.In the different relative opening,The variation regularities of flow coefficient and resistance coefficient of V-shaped ball valve with different cone angle were analyzed under steady-state conditions.The internal flow characteristics of V-shaped ball valve with different intercepting shapes were analyzed from energy loss distribution,velocity distribution and velocity streamline.(3)The V-shaped ball valve with different cone angle in transient conditions regulate performance and internal flow.The change of parameters in the transient adjustment process of V-shaped ball valve is studied and analyzed.The V-shaped ball valve of the flow resistance characteristics,pressure fluctuation after the valve change and internal flow characteristics have been analyzed,and the effect of the intercepting shape on the V-shaped ball valve were obtained in the transient adjustment process.Meanwhile the influence of different intercepting shapes on the regulation performance and internal flow characteristics of V-shaped ball valve under transient condition and steady-state conditions were compared and analyzed.The results show that the V-shaped ball valve with different intercepting shapes have diversity between regulation performance and internal flow characteristics in transience and steady-state conditions.And the energy loss under transient conditions is larger than that under steady-state conditions,while the maximum speed value is small.(4)The Effect of radial interception shape on regulating performance of V-shaped ball valve: The V-shaped ball valve with the change of the shape of the interceptor with the change of the arc is proposed.According to the experimental data,the steady state regulation characteristics are analyzed.The results show that the flow resistance coefficient of the V-shaped ball valve with the shape of the arc intercepting is more stable in the steady state.
