Time is an important physical quantities,especially in the era of high-tech is more and more developed.It is a key parameter in measurement field.Time interval measurement have important applications in many fields.Especially the high precision and high resolution time interval measurement technology,play more and more prominent role in many developing rapidly field in recent years.In the field of electronic technology,the time interval measurement is very important for measurement technology,it is the basis of the measurement of many other physical quantities,because the time measuring accuracy is the highest in seven basic units.By measuring the time interval we can be gain the signal cycle,then we can know the signal frequency.The frequency has a very close relationship with many other electric parameter measurement process.Other physical quantities of testing,are often with the aid of the precise measurement of the time interval and frequency to ensure the high accuracy of the test result.We take advantage of pulse to charge the capacitor of the integrating circuit,make use of the method of demarcate.By accurately measure the voltage on the capacitor value to determine the time under test,the time interval measurement precision is improved greatly.The time interval itself doesn't be measured.But it can be converted to the corresponding voltage value.We can use high-precision ADC for data collection,then process the collected data and could achieve high precision time interval measurement.This article come into use the traditional direct counting method.On the basis of the method did some others work.Firstly,the short time interval on both ends of the interval under test are extracted.These short time intervals are measured by time-voltage conversion module.This module is also a core part of this system.The module hardware main including precision integrator,amplifying circuit and shoot with the circuit,etc.The extracted short time interval is converted to a voltage signal through the time-voltage conversion module.Then the voltage signal is measured by ADC module and transmit the data to the PC.The final measurement results are obtained after processing.The measured time interval signal is produced from different length wire.Because signal could generate different time delay in different length wire.This article introduces the measuring principle,hardware circuit and software design of the system.Also analysis of the factors that affect the system comprehensively.After that put forward some appropriate improvement measures,and finally did some debugging to the system,we can gain many informations about the system from the work.
