The design of the dredging auxiliary inland river ship requires strong adaptability and underwater operation flexibility.The accuracy of the work platform positioning must also meet the requirement of the project.It can be met only by the flexible propeller good control performance.The cycloid propeller's maneuverability is better than other ship propellers,which widely attracted the attention of scholars and scientists.Cycloid propeller has fast dynamic response and strong ability to resist the wind.It can continuously quickly change the thrust and sailing directions within the range of 360 °.The dynamic response is fast.First,this paper used CFD numerical simulation method to calculate the cycloid propeller hydrodynamic performance parameters under the situation of the open water experiment and compare with the speed and efficiency of the twin-screw ship.It validated that in similar speed,cycloid propeller which has excellent maneuverability is more suitable for the tug from this paper.Second,the hull form is based on the parent ship provided by Heilongjiang Waterway Planning and Design Institute.The ship model is established,then,the mesh is divided by ICEM.Analyze the influence of different phase angle(0°,15°,30°,45°)on the cycloid propeller hydrodynamic performance through CFD and carry on the simulation experiment of resistance.Then analyze viscous resistance and pressure drag.All of the analysis are preparing for the cycloid propeller used in actual ship.Finally,study the influence of shallow water effect of double cycloidpropeller ship.After establishing the models of different water depth,we got the numerical solution of 3m,4m,and 5mwaterdepth.Compare the hydrodynamic performance parameters.Analyze the influence of different water depth on cycloid propeller hydrodynamic performance and the resistance of the hull through CFD.It has certain reference value to the design of cycloid propeller ship and the control of actual ship.
