With the globalization of economy,the marine transportation industry has developed rapidly.Although the internation Maritime Organization has made rules for the navigation of ship,the ship collision events have occurred frequently and caused many adverse effects.Radar plays an important role in traditional ship navigation system,but it is easy to be influenced by environment and terrain.Therefor,it is necessary to develop new ship navigation equipment to make up for the shorage of radar.So we need new ship navigation to make up for the shortage of the radar.The emergence of the AIS offers a new way for ship navigation and positioning.The information provided by AIS will not be affected by the terrain and the environment influence in the maritime VHF band without manual intervention,static information and dynamic information between sending and receiving ship automatically,and can exchange information with the base station.Radar belongs to active detection,while AIS belongs to passive detection,complementary advantages of radar and AIS is a Marine shipping technology trends.There is information redundancy between the radar and the AIS.If not handled properly,it will not only increase the input of the display equipment,but also make the ship operator confused about the information.Therefor,the data fusion method of radar and AIS and the algorithm of ship collision threat are studied deeply in this paper.Firstly,this paper introduces the background of the subject,the significance of the research,the domestic and foreign status of the information fusion technology and the main content of this paper.Secondly,this paper briefly describes the basic theory of navigation radar and automatic identification system,which lays the foundation for the following research work,and then discusses the theory of data fusion and ER theory.Study of radar and AIS data fusion algorithm,including: the temporal and spatial registration and outlier data fusion technology for track correlation algorithm preprocessing,rough correlation,multi factors of radar and AIS track fuzzy comprehensive decision,based on the weighted covariance fusion algorithm,proposed an improved radar and AIS track fusion the algorithm,improve the efficiency of the algorithm.Study on the ship collision threat degree estimation algorithm,analyzed the rules of COLREGs,presents a multi index comprehensive evaluation improved method,studied the collision threat assessment method and operation process of fusion algorithm is given after data processing by using ER theory;finally,to the research of radar and AIS track fusion algorithm and the ship collision threat assessment method through simulation experiment simulation,verify the feasibility of the algorithm.
